Installing Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex (beta)

A quick look at installing Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex beta, which came out on 2th October 2008. I downloaded the desktop amd64 LiveCD. The familiar ubuntu orange brown is still very much alive in the new version. Some people like it, some people hate it, I don’t really care because customisations are simple.

After a CD integrity checking, I booted into the LiveCD desktop.

That’s it. First impression is great! There were numerous UI improvements, plus a few bugs, which took considerable time to report to Launchpad. But it’s a beta after all.
